The Shape of Things to Come

As you probably know, cNoss recently sent a number of players to reinforce other alliance guilds. Thankfully, we received some reinforcements of our own, mostly from MuLL. Now that these moves are essentially complete, I'd like to welcome all our new members and share with everyone a few thoughts about how our guild can move forward.

The main guild events that I'd like to discuss today are raids, specifically those of the Heroic Pit (HPit) and Heroic AAT (HAAT) variety. When it comes to HPits, the most important guild contribution is to hit 600/600 Raid Tickets a day. To some of you, this may seem like a lot, but we've outlined ways to do so on our Guilding page. The reasons for our focus on running as many HPits as possible per week are various, but, at the end of the day, it's all about gear. (Yes, I know, those Solo shards are sweet, too!) The more gear we collect, the more quickly we'll progress as a guild. It will not only make our squads stronger for every facet of the game, but also, and just as importantly, for HAATs, which drop General Kenobi shards.

At the moment, we are not HAAT ready. To become HAAT ready, a guild needs a number of very powerful squads. Some of you know from experience how difficult it is to clear HAAT phases. The general line of thinking is that, for a guild to become HAAT ready, each player needs at least 4 teams that do 2% damage in each phase. Keep in mind that, compared to Normal AAT (NAAT), you'll do roughly 1/3 damage in HAAT. So, if you have a squad that can hit Phase 2 for 3m damage in NAAT, for example, you're lucky if you do 1m damage in HAAT. While I believed the people who told me this before I ran my first HAAT, part of me also couldn't believe HAAT was that hard. Trust me, they were right. It is that hard.

If we, as a guild, are ever going to accomplish the goal of defeating a HAAT on our own, without alliance help, the arguably best thing you can do is develop a Resistance squad with Finn (Zeta) as Leader. Suffice it to say that, in the future, I'll post extensively on the squads you'll need to crush HAAT, but, for now, a focus upon Resistance will serve you well. And, while I don't own a crystal ball, I'm fairly certain that, if we pull together as a guild and work together to gear ourselves up, there will be many General Kenobi shards in our future.
